Chapter 13 : Amen.

House of God

Here is a church where peace resides,

a place of charity, a place with harmony,

a fellowship where hope and love abide. 

*This is a house of grace. We are a temple of living praise.

throw open the doors, tell the world Christ is Lord.

Here is a light that shines in the darkness.

Here is a peace that calms the storm,

a place where joy is found, a place where love abounds,

a fellowship that serves the risen Lord. 

This church's one foundation is Jesus Christ the King,

and we His new creation, now lift our voice and sing. 

We must sing!

Lord, when you came to Jordan

Lord, when You came to Jordan and asked to be baptised,

What was Your vow and vision of love and sacrifice?

Was there a sudden splendour of prophets, priests, and kings,

A wind that stirred the waters, a blur of mighty wings?

Was this God's crowning moment of all You have become, 

The spirit's power and blessing: " GO now, You are My Son" ?

Did scitpture joins with scipture in words of sharp surprise:

" The Lord's Messiah shall conquer, rejected and despised" ?

Faith rests content with questions of when and why and how,

But craves the gift of seeing what God is doing now.

Lord, bring us to Jordan of newly opened eyes.

Through Love, immersed in living, as You were once baptized.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell, the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
